HOMECOOKING & KIDS HEALTH
WITH DR MEGAN YAP
Who is Dr Megs?
Hi! I am Dr Megs! I’m mum to two wonderful, albeit (occasionally) challenging little people, a paediatrician based in Brisbane Queensland, and a passionate home cook. My little ones are the centre of my universe. Every day is a juggle between being the best mum I can be, while balancing being the best doctor I can be to my wonderful patients and their families.
It has been through my work, that I came to realise that so many parents find it hard to find practical and reliable sources of evidence-based information on topics suited to their children and related health or developmental issues. This realisation has led me on the most amazing and heart-warming journey. In June 2017, with a little help from my husband Troy, I set up the Paeds and Feeds Facebook page and Blog.
Since then, I have gained an army of followers that have become my extended friends and family. It has grown bigger than I could ever have possibly imagined. And now 3 years on, we are still growing, sharing our stories, celebrating parenthood and family with delicious food coupled with Easy-to-read, EVIDENCE BASED information on kids’ health topics from a real “Dr Mum.”
So, grab a cuppa and settle in for some yummy food – both traditional Malaysian Chinese meals taught to me by my beloved mum, as well recipes I use when I need to get dinner on the table in 20 minutes with a child hanging off each leg. I will also share with you some practical advice on kid’s health topics that you (and other parents) will hopefully find useful!
Enjoy! And thanks for popping by!
